Brazil's northeast coast is not as crowded as other destinations within the country and offers spectacular landscapes and wild beaches.
From Fortaleza continue further north to Jericoacoara, a small fishing village with idyllic beaches. Jericoacoara is also a Mecca for windsurf and kitesurf lovers.
Continue to Delta do Parnaíba for more impressive landscapes and visit Lençois Maranhenses National Park, in Barreirinhas.
Here white sand dunes and pristine lagoons of fresh water will take your breath away.
Your journey ends in Sao Luis, where you will visit the historic centre, declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1997.
